It all started in 2010. Isa Schütze invented a world first: the floating pool cushion. What followed was the brand "chillisy" pronounced: chill easy. The name was meant to be a program for the products, but not for the owner...
Excerpt from the interview with the Tiroler Wirtschaftszeitung in October 2015:
When she was lying by the pool in Brazil in 2010, she had no idea how far-reaching the joy of experimentation of two children would be. "There were beanbags lying around everywhere in the hotel complex and the two of them grabbed one and threw it into the water," says the young entrepreneur. She was always ready to save the children, but thanks to the Styrofoam, the set of seats didn't sink. "But it got so heavy that the kids had no chance of pulling the soaked thing back to land."
With these impressions and an orange beanbag as a souvenir, Schütze left Brazil. "I wanted to preserve the holiday feeling, but the material was not breathable and stuck unpleasantly to the skin."

Taking the step
There has to be a better way, thought the German-born woman. She asked a friend in Mallorca to find out whether the hotels there had beanbags. When they didn't, Schütze moved to Mallorca for three months - with her first self-sewn pool cushion in her luggage. "I sewed it with my mother's sewing machine, a master tailor. Unfortunately, the machine was stolen from me on the island."
As Schütze walked to the water with the big white thing in tow, people watched her with interest, but no one spoke to her. "It worked, the pillow floated. It was such a cool feeling."
Even though the market entry in Mallorca was not successful at the time, Schütze did not let herself be discouraged. Back home, she spent every free minute working on her invention, knocking on doors and writing to various magazines.
Through luck and detours, the entrepreneur came across premium acrylic – produced in Germany, refined in France, Italy and Switzerland – which she still uses for her products today.
