Award-winning design from Landeck

13.09.2018 LANDECK (das). The floating premium pool cushion from the chillisy® label is the winner of the » GERMAN DESIGN AWARD SPECIAL 2019 «.

It all began in 2010 with the invention of a world first: the floating pool cushion. What followed was the brand "chillisy" (chill easy), which was then launched by Isa Schütze. The name was meant to be the program and so the product range for the pool cushion has continually expanded.

In addition to high-quality pool cushions and floating accessories, the company now also offers tailor-made textile solutions for the hotel industry and is based in Landeck. chillisy's customers include not only end consumers, but also the catering and hotel industry, which has been dependent on tailor-made solutions for years. These products are offered under the name "Hotexeria". In addition to design and durability, the brand focuses on the highest quality and sustainable production.

Isa Schütze was invited by the German Design Council to accept the German Design Award Special 2019 for the floating premium pool cushion by chillisy. The award ceremony took place during the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt .

German Design Award

The German Design Award is the international premium award of the German Design Council. Its aim is to discover, present and reward unique design trends. Every year, top-class submissions from product and communication design are awarded prizes, all of which are groundbreaking in their own way in the international design landscape. The German Design Award, initiated in 2012, is one of the most recognized design competitions in the world and enjoys a high reputation far beyond specialist circles.

Special Mention
The "Special Mention" award is given to works whose design features particularly successful aspects or solutions - an award that honors the commitment of companies and designers. With this award, the German Design Council honors "innovative products and projects" that are "groundbreaking in the German and international design landscape."

The annual award winners not only exemplify the economic and cultural value of outstanding design, but also offer orientation and represent current topics and design trends. Award winners in recent years include Audi, Mandarin Palace and Braun.
